Dr. Denise Tomlin

I feel like Chiropractic has saved my life. I don’t know where I’d be without it. But now and for many years I get adjusted for the ‘health’ of it.

My Chiropractic Journey

Mississauga Chiropractors family

Dr. Denise Tomlin and Family

I came to be a chiropractor step by step in the journey of life. I was finishing up a bachelor of science degree in pre-med courses, knowing that I did not want to be a medical doctor. Then, a friend of a friend said, “Why don’t you become a chiropractor?” And it was if a light bulb went off in my head.

I had a very positive experience with chiropractic when I was 15 years old, and my parents had benefited from chiropractic for many years as well. Still it was something that I didn’t know much about and it never occurred to me to become one. As I started looking into it as a career path I found out that National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois was only 8 miles from my home. WOW! I was enrolled within 3 months. I know that I was chosen to be a chiropractor and feel very blessed to have a greater passion about helping others with chiropractic today than when I began over 23 years ago.

Education

I finished my undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University and graduated with my D.C. from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Il. I continued to further my education and certified with a F.I.C.P.A. (Fellowship of Chiropractic Pediatrics) in 1997 from International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This was an amazing course, and love to take care of pregnant women so they easily deliver healthy babies. Keeping babies well is a special love of mine.

Practice Philosophy

In practice we are here to change the lives of those who are sick and suffering and who have lost their hope. We help them to achieve optimal health with functional, structural, and wellness chiropractic care. We take care of all ages from babies to those wise in years and my favorite love is allowing babies to thrive becoming healthy children and then healthy adults. We also seek to inspire everyone and provide information so they can make the lifestyle changes needed to support their care and live life fully. It is truly incredible when people come to realize the amazing power they have within themselves and what happens when that healing power is working properly.

About Me

I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin and raised in suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. My parents have since retired to Florida.

I met and started dating Mark in Chiropractic College and we got married in June of 1987 after graduation in April. We then moved to Toronto. I have been in practice in Mississauga since the fall of 1987. Then, in the summer of 1989 we created a practice together in our home. We have 3 beautiful healthy daughters, Jessica, Rachel and Jaclyn.

I love to keep fit and workout. I run regularly and love being outside. I go to the gym frequently and am blessed to have a workout buddy and good friend of 20 plus years now – we keep each other accountable. I love experiencing something new each year from my dream list-i.e. white water rafting, swimming with dolphins, hot air ballooning, ladies weekend retreat at the cottage, mission trips to Africa and the Dominican. It keeps me engaged to expand my own comfort zones.

To be healthy – I get adjustments at least weekly, often twice per week. I continually work at increasing my strength and fitness. I have 2 accountability partners who help to keep me on track with my life-spiritual, emotional, practice, family, fitness- and we talk weekly. Our girls have been raised without drugs of any kind and that’s the only life they know.

Enough about me! I’d like to help you and your family. Give our Mississauga office a call and find out how chiropractic can help to live life fully alive with hope for a better tomorrow.
